Streszczenie:
Even though classical antiquity shines as the cultural phenomenon exerting a
tremendous influence upon next centuries of art, philosophy or literature, the English
Renaissance – a cultural and artistic movement dating from the late 15th to the middle
17th century – emerges as comparably influential. Among major literary figures in this
period, three names appear as exceptionally prolific in swaying a lasting influence
upon a literary and cultural domain. Christopher Marlowe (1564–93), William
Shakespeare (1564–1616) and John Milton (1608–74) are those figures whose literary
achievements have invariably been admired worldwide.
